I am from Jonesboro Arkansas and I currently do not have insurance on my vehicle. If I get stopped by a police officer what penalties am I going to be facing?

It is unlawful for any individual to drive a motor vehicle unless the vehicle is insured with the minimum amount of liability coverage in Arkansas. This minimum coverage is $25,000 for bodily injury or death of one person in up to $50,000 for bodily injury or death of two or more persons per accident and $25,000 for property damage of others.
In Jonesboro or any part of Arkansas, as for penalties if you are found driving without insurance there is a graduating scale of penalties, all with mandatory fees and fines. For the first offense a fine of between $50 to $250 is required to be paid. For a 2nd offense a fine of between $250 to $500 is required to be paid. A 3rd or any subsequent violations have a fine of between $500 to $1000 or a sentence of one year in jail or both.
