Obtaining auto insurance in Arkansas can seem like a sticky situation for new drivers like you. I can give you some of the basic information that you need to know since I live here in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The state of Arkansas requires that all motorists have liability insurance. In case you are unaware, the Minimum state coverage in Arkansas is 25/50/25. This means $25,000 per person up to $50,000 for bodily injury liability per accident and $25,000 for property damage liability per accident.
For instance, if there is only one person in the car that was injured your insurance carrier will pay for $25,000 worth of medical expenses, if there is more than one person injured in the crash $50,000 expenses will be covered. The amount of $25,000 is repair for the property damage liability.
The state of Arkansas does not require you to carry any more than the minimum liability limits but it is always recommended that all motorists to have more coverage so that you may be fully protected in Little Rock.
Normally collision coverage covers the car when you hit an object such as another vehicle, pole, fence etc. Comprehensive coverage on the other hand is for things other than collision. Comprehensive coverage covers your vehicle if it is damaged by fire, flood, or vandalism or if it gets stolen.
