Beginner Driver Insurance Arkansas AR
Reader’s Question:
I heard that for beginner driver insurance here in Arkansas costs more than the average automobile insurance policy. Is this true, and why?
Bettie
Fayetteville, AR
Bettie, this information you have collected on beginner driver insurance there in Arkansas is actually true. If you go around your area and ask automobile insurance companies, or if you go to Web sites of automobile insurance companies and ask for quotes for beginner driver insurance, you would receive the same replies. And that would be large amounts of money smiling in your face.
This poses a large problem especially if your budget is not that big. You see, automobile insurance companies’ perception of beginner drivers, especially the teens, is that they get into more trouble on the road compared to the older motorists. Statistics have proven that teenagers that are 16 years old are four times more hazardous on the road than the other age brackets combined. This is the reason why teen driver insurance policies are expensive already from the onset. It is because beginner drivers are high-risk drivers. This is to protect the companies’ interests in the event that a beginner driver repeatedly makes claims because of involvement in car accidents. It is actually logical, is it not?
You may think that you have such a bad luck because of this information. However, I must tell you that are certain ways you can take for you to reduce the cost of the beginner driver insurance that you are going to purchase. Examples of these are including your beginner driver in your existing automobile insurance policy, having your beginner driver finish a basic driving course and if the beginner is a teenager, having him acquire good grades in school.
If you follow these few steps, I am entirely sure that you could cut the cost of your beginner driver insurance.

Vehicle Insurance Agent Fort Smith Arkansas AR
Reader’s Question:
I have asked around Fort Smith, Arkansas, and I noticed that different automotive insurance companies require different data from me. What information should I really give to the auto insurance agents and why?
Brenda
Fort Smith, AR
Different insurance companies require different data from you because they need to know what kind of auto insurance premium is appropriate for you. Of course these companies are also thinking about their own, that’s why they need to get your portfolio in order to determine if you would also turn out to be a profitable client or not. Normally, since these companies cannot foresee the future, they choose people who are likely to be “good risks.” With all the applicants that they have, they categorize each and every one of them as who are potentially good risks and who are those who may turn out to be more of a liability to their company. That’s the reason why some insurance companies turn down certain clients (you may encounter some of these insurance companies when you finally get the result of your insurance applications there in Fort Smith, Arkansas) But basically, a vehicular insurance company determines a premium by these following factors: age, sex, marital status, type of vehicle, regular passengers of the vehicle and regular drivers of the vehicle other than you (including their age and sex), place where the vehicle would be garaged, type of risk involved in the neighborhood (where you live). There are also some other hairy details that the insurance company may require you to state, but basically these are the risk factors that they need to consider to be able to determine the kind of premium that you need.

Vehicle Insurance Rate Little Rock Arkansas AR
Reader’s Question:
I just got a speeding ticket three weeks ago here in Little Rock, AR. I know that may affect my auto insurance rate. But I want to know what other factors insurance companies look at in determining insurance premium rate.
Peter
Little Rock, AR
Me, I got one last week. Not a nice month, huh? No worries, though. First (and hopefully the last) a speeding ticket does not really catch the insurance companies’ attention, but don’t make a habit out of it. Your question: what makes insurance company frown and raise your insurance premium rate? Actually, there are lots of factors. Some can be helped, some not. I’ll try to give you the big ones. Of course, number one on the list is driving history. Stay on the road when driving. Check your speed, stay within the speed limit. When you figure in an accident, even when it’s not your fault, the companies will still get alarmed. Then there’s personal profile. Yeah, it’s an unfair world, but some people are riskier to insure than others. Insurance companies believe that men are riskier to insure than women and teens are reckless drivers (hormones and inexperience and all those things). They also favor insuring urban folks than city folks. You’re from Little Rock, Arkansas. This makes you one. This may have something to do with your temper. Grumble, frown, and smirk. They also check if you’ve had continuous insurance coverage. They’d want to know if you’ve been driving around without insurance, which is a bad idea anywhere. They’d also check if your policy has been cancelled before. This gives them an idea about the kind of customer you’d be.
